Over the Airwaves

Sometimes, doing kingdom work looks like shoveling loads of gross, muddy, pig slop, sweating so much your eyes burn, and working until theres no strength left in your fingers to hold the shovel. However, there are other times where ministry looks like being invited into a Christian Radio studio to sing, speak and share. For the ambassadors of God’s Kingdom to Guatemala ministry Wednesday was a super fun time of being on the radio! God has been blessing us, and using us to bless this nation–in the streets and over the airwaves.

Gifts of Food and Hearts of Service

We have had a busy few days here in Guatemala! From playing sports in town, putting on VBS programs at various schools, to being on a local radio program. Some of our team’s favorite times of ministry are when they are walking through town and hear the Lord calling them to stop and pray for someone. Check out Kelsey’s story from earlier in the week below!  Hey this is Kelsey! In the first week here in Guatemala, God has revealed so many beautiful opportunities to me. I’ve connected with kids a lot at VBS, and just really been in touch with the Holy Spirit. Today our...

Spiritual Warfare

greetings from San Pedro, Guatemala! our trip this far has been an adventure, and I’m so blessed to be able to be on this beautiful adventure with my best friends. these past two days have been tough on our team as a whole as we had to send home one of our own last night due to worsening allergic reactions. as a team, we spent hours last night in tears and prayer. though we hate to see her leave our group, we hated even more to see her suffering.  today was a test of faith as well and many of us were not feeling well. it could have been something we ate or simply nerves, but...

Full Days and Full Hearts

It is always such a good feeling to fall into bed at the end of the day knowing that you gave all of yourself in submission to the Lord. Today has undoubtedly been one of those days. We had an early morning walk to breakfast up what can only be classified as a minor mountain, or giant hill. After stuffing our faces with the fluffiest pancakes in Guatemala, we took a super fun truck ride through the mountains to a nearby village. The chaos of children’s ministry ensued. Some extremely servant hearted students chose to dig, and haul, pounds and pounds of mud (under the watching eye of...

Travel to San Pedro, Guatemala

Today was a travel day for team Guatemala. We left Antigua and drove through the mountains to San Pedro where we will spend the next ten days. Sometimes traveling through the mountains can be a little nerve racking (especially if you get car sick!) But God can use any experience to show us more about His love for us.  Check out Emily’s story from our travel day!  Hello,This is Emily Dillehay typing to you from a desk next to the hammocks on our porch in San Pedro. It is beautiful and foggy here. I am loving it. However, the drive here was not the most relaxing. You see the...

A Wonderful Experience

Hey my name is Cecelia Miller and I just wanted to share a few words with you guys. Never in a million years would I of thought I would be going on a missions trip, let alone to Guatemala! But here I am in a foreign country with 24 people I don’t know. It has been an amazing experience. I have loved seeing God work with our group to mold us into a ministry team. We are like family and I wouldn’t ask for a better group of people to share the gospel with the Guatemalans. Thank you AIM for putting a great group of people together!
