Never Leaving

Every person that I have met who has been to Guatemala warned me that I would never want to leave. I figured at the book end of two weeks, I would disagree.  As we wrap up our time in San Pedro however, I already feel homesick for this beautiful place. The moments that I have experienced here are sure to stay with me forever. San Pedro is such an awe inspiring town that no amount of staring at pictures could have prepared me for. Full & Running Over

So… The moment you’ve all been waiting for! Just kidding, but this is my first update from Guatemala!  So I figured I’d give you a summary of the best things we did each day so you aren’t reading for hours on end. We learned a lot about Guatemalan culture during that experience, and we were able to give food to and pray for the families.   Today some of our team went to hike Pacaya, a volcano near Antigua. The rest of us have been exploring markets and...

He Goes Before Us

Our days in Guatemala have been some of my favorite in my life. I have found myself laughing uncontrollably with people I only met a week ago. It took each and every one of our breaths away. On the first full day here in San Pedro we all got together and started planning our VBS program for all the different churches we would go to in the next couple of weeks. We also got to plan a radio show because yes, our team was on the radio in Guatemala...

Guatemala 2 is safe in San Pedro

The Guatemala 2 week team is safely settled in San Pedro for the night. After an early morning and long day of travel (with beautiful views and twisting, curvy roads), we arrived in San Pedro, grabbed some dinner, and are now settling in for a good night’s rest before tomorrow’s ministry.
