Finding comfort in the discomfort

Coming into Peru I didn´t know what to expect. I knew that God would move and that we would be helping the poor and making an impact on the city but I didn´t quite now how. Now that I have been here for a couple of weeks I have seen God in action in so many ways. I have been given many opportunities to speak in front of large crowds about God on this trip and I have experienced supernatural things while doing so. I have experienced God use me merely as flesh while he is the one speaking. It has been a daily test though, walking through the inner city slums of Villa el...

The Infamous “Everything” by Lifehouse Skit

If you´re not familiar with this skit, you can look at it on YouTube!      While in Peru we´ve had multiple opportunities to preform our own version of this skit. Anna organized it, Devin is Jesus and Ciara is the main girl. After Devin shows Ciara everything she can experience through Christ, Dylan comes in and whisks her away. He is followed by Mary who tempts Ciara with money and greed. Next Sydney and I strut across the stage, fix her makeup and encourage her to throw up to become thinner. Peter and Kayla act drunk and drag Ciara into drugs and alcohol,...

Skits and Dramas

Hi everyone! For about the last week or so the group has prepared some great skits and dramas to show, whether it be at a church service or in the middle of a market. One we have worked on and done quite a bit is the Lifehouse Everything Skit. This is a skit that uses a song. He breathes life into the girl, creating her in His image, and he goes on to show her all His creation. She dances with Jesus, but then another boy comes into her world,...

Reflections from a PR Ambassador

Megan Collette just returned from a 10 day Ambassador trip to Puerto Rico and has decided to share a little bit of what God placed on her heart near the end of her experiences and what God revealed to her on this trip. Written on July 2, 2013 It’s Tuesday. We leave on Thursday, and God is revealing something to me about our time here. This isn’t a mission trip. Well, technically that is what this trip is called, but it has been so much more than that.     My team has gone from being complete strangers to a family that is simply following Jesus and...

Rafting and Sun

Hey everybody!  This is Kayla.  We are having an excellent trip so far and seeing God work with the locals and in our hearts continues to amaze me.  Everyone here is so open to the love of God and want to hear what we have to say.  We went to a small church on Sunday where we performed several skits and a guy on our team gave a really powerful message about the love of God and forgiveness.  At the end of his message there was an altar call for people to accept the love of God as their own and over half of the church came up.  The pastors and others working all...
