Team Chicago: aka – Daughters of Courage!

(they chose this name)

From chicago.myadventures.org

These ladies are taking Chicago by storm with the mission statement:

Be Light, Be Love, Be Jesus.

(again, their idea)

We got in safely and Friday night was filled with getting to know each other and Chicago style pizza!  The only way to start our time in Chicago!

The Leaders!

From chicago.myadventures.org

By Saturday – we felt like we had known each other way more than a few hours.  Saturday was filled with training, team building, and some ministry activities.  These girls are amazing and already saying that being bold and being courageous are some of the things they want to walk in during their time here.

They also had a challenge or two and the opportunity to really stretch themselves.  Robin (one of their trainers) issued them a challenge of putting everything they would need for the next three days in a gallon sized ziplock! This didn’t include their bedding, journals, water bottles and Bibles, or the clothes on their back.  They had the option to participate and every girl and leader is doing it!  We are so proud of them, and they are learning a lot about what is really necessary and what is not!

Their faces look a lot worse than it actually was! They did amazing!

Sunday and Monday have been filled with the Lord completely directing our steps and blowing us away.  We have seen the city, been educated on homelessness, and made 50 meals for our next ministry time!  We have had some amazing opportunities to dig deep into our lives and really get to know one another!

We are super excited to see what else the Lord has for us during our time in Chicago.
