Hello!  Thanks to all of you for your support of our team through prayer these last few days.  We celebrated our one week “anniversary” as a team just a few days ago and it’s hard to believe with the bonds that have formed that we have only known each other that long.

I’m sorry for the delay in posting – we’ve had some computer problems.  Jamaica is beautiful!!!  Our travel day could not have gone more smoothly and we had a wonderful (and beautiful) flight and are enjoying the mountain scenery few of us expected to see.  We are working at the Salvation Army School for the Blind and have been loving spending time with thwe children here who range in age from 4 to 18 and in ability level from partially blind in one eye to fully blind with other physical challenges.  The kids love our team so much and we’re all captivated by them consistently calling us “Sir” and “Miss.”  We’ve also enjoyed working at the home for the elderly and learning the songs they’ve tauight us!  🙂

While we’ve enjoyed where we are,  ministry hasn’t been what we expected.  Yesterday began a refocusing time for our team and we have been seeking God about how He would have us minister from this point forward.  We’re so thankful for our new friends Jeremy and Menard who have been friends, tour guides, and protectors and we look forward to their continued help with this redirection.

Please keep praying for us!  The enemy is NOT happy with our refocused team!  🙂 These students are incredible and the Lord is already doing mighty things through them.  More later.  Peace to you.
