Small Groups

On Tuesday and Thursday nights, we attend church members homes and share our testimonies and messages from God. The cell groups can range from all women or all men or consisting of both genders. Usually, the meetings start with some Peruvian music playing and everyone getting settled in. After the music stops, the owner of the house takes over and leads the whole group into prayer. Generally, one of us, will share our testimonies to the whole group. A trend I have noticed in our group is that everyone deals with a high school difficulty such as drugs, alcohol, bullying, addictions, or...

World Changers: Let Loose in Leon

Sitting in a muggy courtyard, on the cold tile floor with the fan blowing on their backs are some pretty amazing people.  They are 14 students who decided to leave their comfortable lives and any possible “cool” summer plans back in America for a life changing 2 weeks in Nicaragua.            Heres the Nicaragua team with the Puerto Rico team at launch!  Earlier today they were working hard to prepare for tomorrows ministry at a school by learning songs in Spanish, finding verses to share with the kids and preparing a story to share with...

Healing in Swaziland

God is so faithful. We ask and He gives and shows. The Ambassador team of teens and their two leaders that spent the month of July in Swaziland asked and God showed up in a BIG way! Here is how one participant told the story. “I saw God do an incredible healing. A five year old girl had been hit by a car at preschool when someone pushed her into the road. The first day at the hospital the girl wasn’t talking and couldn’t walk. The next day she was counting to 10, waling around, and eating candy. The next week when members of our team went back they found out she...

Came to Serve, Came Back Changed

Sarahgrace is a high school student who went to Puerto Rico this summer to serve with the Adventures Ambassador program.  This is her personal story on finding more than she ever expected. Puerto Rico. What can I say? Going into this, all I wanted was to serve, and if I got something out of it, great.  But you see, God had greater plans; He always does.  The whole time I was trying really hard to make it not about me and so on and so forth.  I unfocused it so much from myself that I lost the point of it all somewhere along the way.  While I went on this...

From Broken Sinner to Devoted Daughter

The last night of training camp Savannah talked and prayed for us all individually.  When Savannah had her talk with me, she told me I needed to focus on my identity. Before this trip I would have said that I am chosen, predestined, adopted, blessed, redeemed, and forgiven (all of which come from Ephesians 1:3-10). Now my answer is much different, because I decided to listen.   Thursday night, two days ago, we all went into the sanctuary for a team meeting. Andrew told us to take some time asking God to give us words of who we are in Christ. So the entire team found various...
