Red House, Yellow Door

We arrived in Costa Rica late yesterday afternoon and were greeted with open doors and open arms. There were a lot of shouts and celebrations on the bus as we pulled into our mission site for the next 10 days. Here’s just one story of how we’re already seeing the faithfulness of the Father: I love buildings with a lot of colors and things like that. I appreciate art and colorful things make me happy. There’s a place back home with a lot of colorful buildings, kind of run down- it’s just really fun to look at, it’s different. As we drove through San Jose I saw...

Peru-ve It!

After nearly 31 hours of travel, the amazing thirteen women of the Peru Ambassador team have arrived safely to Iquitos!     As a leader, it was incredible to see our ten young women step out in faith before we even arrived to our country. No Longer Running

“Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much.” -Luke 7:47 Last night I experienced true forgiveness. I was filled with the Lord in a new way, unlike some spiritual events. Those fade and I lose that “God high.” No one can take this away though. Meg spent time praying over our team and she told the Holy Spirit to take complete control over her body, mouth, and actions. She laid hands on me and prayed that the Holy Spirit make my heart its home. She prayed that I would be filled with him and experience him and hear from him. Earlier...

Church In The Mountains

Guatemala 4 week Team We drove for about three hours up into the mountains to a place called Cuidad Chuikel. We were scheduled to conduct a VBS for 75 to 100 kids and as it turned out, there were at least that many. The church is called Iglesia Evangelica Monte Horeb, Pastored by Antonio Cayote. He had been a pastor of a 3000 member church but by faith, left that church to plant this church in Cuidad Chuikel. The church started with nothing but has grown to 250 over a period of 11 years. Keep in mind that most of the people who attend have to walk as many as several miles to attend. What...

God Confirmed

Yesterday morning, we went to a high school to have an assembly.  We left our base earlier than the usual 8:30, we were at the school by 7:45. We were told we had an hour; to share 3 testimonies, a few songs and we were asked to present the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The principal told us that many of the students have drug and alcohol addictions and if we had testimonies that related to that, we should share those. Three girls shared parts of their testimonies; how God had brought them or family members out of drug and alcohol addictions, changed their desires and about...
