A Week into Our 2 Week Trip

We have been in Guatemala a few hours shy of a week.  Here are a few more glimpses of what we’ve been up to. Here is where we eat our meals.  We eat at the house of a family member of our pastor, Pastor Antonio.  We sit at 3 long tables and pretty much always end up laughing entirely too loud.  This is an example of a breakfast we have had.  The pastor’s wife is an incredible cook…we are guaranteed to not come home malnourished!   We have spent a lot of our time praying for people in two different communities- San Pablo and San...

El Gauyabo-Nicaragua Four Week.

Ola! It is week two in El Gauyabo, Nicaragua.  We are rejoicing and praising God for all he has done in such a short time.  This team is hungry for more depth into what God has for them.  So good! A few things we have been up to:Door-to-door evangelism sharing the love of Christ and that it’s about an intimate relationship with Him and not based on works.  We also have been revisiting the people and doing Bible studies with them.  We have been going through the book of John and learning about Jesus’ character and how our identity’s should be fully...

Lovin’ Kenya!

Lovin’ Kenya! Today we spoke with the leaders of Team Kenya and that’s what they had to say; “we’re loving Kenya!”  The team is full on into ministry! Kenyans are early risers – and so is this team! Their days start at 6am, serving breakfast to the children who are going to primer school a few miles away from where the team lives.  Some of the team works with the lower primary stuents during school hours playing games, teaching, and just loving on precious little ones!  In the later morning, the team does worship with some of the older...

One AMAZING First Week

amily and Friends, We made it! We arrived in South Africa later in the evening on Tuesday after a long 16 hour flight across the ocean. After a variety of movies, some not-so-bad plane food and a little turbulence we were all ready to be on solid ground again. We spent out first African night in a hotel near the airport before we enjoyed a breakfast of eggs, jam and toast, an assortment of meats, cereal and fresh squeezed passion fruit juice. We were pretty sure we could get used to that, but instead we jumped on a 20-passenger van and headed out on a beautiful ride towards the...

Our First Week in Puerto Rico

Our first week here in Puerto Rico has been nothing short of incredible! We are in Juana Diaz, staying at Campamento del Caribe, a camp that runs several children’s camps throughout the summer. Hundreds of lives have been changed because of Campamento del Caribe and we’re so grateful to be a part of this. The week after our team leaves Puerto Rico, the first camp of the summer begins, and they’re expecting a lot of kids. Our role here has been to ready the grounds for the arrival of these kids by painting, cleaning, building things, etc.  There is so much to do...
