A Peruvian Wedding

So on Friday we all had the privelage to attend a wedding at Iglesia Shalom. It was so much fun to see how the people in Peru throw their weddings. There was some delicious food and an awesome party after. The people at Iglesia Shalom love to dance so it´s always fun to be a part of that. The bride looked stunning and the groom also looked very nice. It was interesting to see all of the cultural differences. I feel very fortunate and blessed to have been able to attend a wedding here in Peru. Who would have thought that God would have that planned for us!? Hope everyone at home is doing...

PERUUUU UUUUREP

So, Peru. Its pretty cool, were staying in basically a giant shack thing., its really fun living here. I like the people, and how open to us and God they are. If you give them a track they actually read it and ask about it. I think God is really changing lives for the good here. I enjoy market evangelism and we have done alot of that, and yesterday we went white water rafting. it was saaawwweeeett. Were really growing as a closer family (the group) and were bonding alot. Our “family” is awesome. So yeah. thats as little piece of the trip. thanks for reading.

Small Groups

On Tuesday and Thursday nights, we attend church members homes and share our testimonies and messages from God. The cell groups can range from all women or all men or consisting of both genders. Generally, one of us, will share our testimonies to the whole group. A trend I have noticed in our group is that everyone deals with a high school difficulty such as drugs, alcohol, bullying, addictions, or unacceptable....

Finding comfort in the discomfort

Coming into Peru I didn´t know what to expect. I knew that God would move and that we would be helping the poor and making an impact on the city but I didn´t quite now how. Now that I have been here for a couple of weeks I have seen God in action in so many ways. I have been given many opportunities to speak in front of large crowds about God on this trip and I have experienced supernatural things while doing so. I have experienced God use me merely as flesh while he is the one speaking. It has been a daily test though, walking through the inner city slums of Villa el Salvador, with...

Rafting and Sun

Hey everybody!  This is Kayla.  We are having an excellent trip so far and seeing God work with the locals and in our hearts continues to amaze me.  Everyone here is so open to the love of God and want to hear what we have to say.  We went to a small church on Sunday where we performed several skits and a guy on our team gave a really powerful message about the love of God and forgiveness.  At the end of his message there was an altar call for people to accept the love of God as their own and over half of the church came up.  The pastors and others working all looked...
