7/7/19–

Hi friends and family! I am so excited to share with you the experiences I have had with my team the past few days since we have arrived in this amazing country. Not only have I grown closer to each and every member of this incredible team, but I have also grown to love the unique culture of the Siswati people. Even though I have only been here for a few days, everyone I have met whether in the market or at gatherings has been welcoming and joyful. Yesterday, we spent the day ministering in the Manzini market. Our team was able to begin building relationships with locals and support them through buying their handmade goods. Our goals in the market were to begin getting to know locals and show them the love of Jesus. While we were there, I had the opportunity to speak with a Siswati lady selling jewelry. As I began to speak with her, she told me the meaning of her name was Glory. I asked her what her name meant to her, and she said that she wanted to give glory to God in her life. She and I were then able to pray together after she told me her desire for her children to also know the Lord. We prayed together that her children would also come to know the love of Jesus. This was just one of many similar interactions throughout the day that our team had. The local missionaries at the AIM base have been so welcoming and kind to our team, giving us helpful guidance as we begin to minister in Swaziland. I am so excited for what the next three weeks have in store, and I cannot wait to see what God will do through our team as we continually surrender ourselves to Him. I just want to say another huge thank you to everyone who supported me in preparing for this trip. I love you all!!
