Learning to Trust His Voice

       Just before I wrote this I was laying in a hammock looking up at the top of the trees of the rain forest. I couldn’t believe that I was actually in Costa Rica sitting in a hammock in an area that looks like a picture on a postcard. With that picture in mind, I have two stories to share that kinda connect to each other and I feel that they accurately depict how God is moving in me and through me so far on this trip.        For context on the first story, I have always struggled with trusting God with my own well being or my own...

Ministry

Though we have only been in Romania for 5 days, my eyes have been opened to so many different things. One of which is the plethora of ways to do ministry. In my experience, mission trips have consisted of putting on a VBS for little kids, building relationships with them, and various other means of interacting with locals in the place we are staying. Here I’ve learned that our mission is to 1. encourage the long-term missionaries, 2. help them with whatever they need, and 3. work on our own hearts. Therefore, we have spent our time so far attempting to pour into the missionaries in...

New Perspectives

Romania is truly an astonishing country. I thank God so much for bringing me here. This trip has definitely been an eye opening experience for me and I have seen and heard God more than ever before. Our ministry here is very different than I am used to. I am used to delivering firewood and other labor ministry as well as interacting a lot with the locals. Our ministry here has been mainly praying for the missionaries and their families. I am very thankful that we have been able to do this because it gives me a different but good new perspective. The people of Romania are amazing. Once...

Healing, Growing, and Praying

I’ve learned so many things from this trip already. From healing, to growing, to praying. I now know for sure that God wants me to be on the mission field and I’m so excited. There’s no more joy than being able to serve others through Christ, even when it gets tough. I’m so thankful that God had given me a purpose because I would be lost without Him.  -Maggie Millichamp

Agape Love

WOWOWOW. So far, Romania and its phenomenal people and rich culture have not ceased to amaze me. Contrary to popular expectation however, it hasn’t been the earth-shattering majesty of the city’s finest or the riveting rapidity of life that has taken my breath away. Instead, it’s been the deep rooted integrity of the people, the devotion to family and traditions, the discipline, and the raw elegance of Draganesti. It is this same commitment however, that has made it so difficult to reach these people with the gospel of Christ. It breaks my heart to see the very traditions...

birthdays in swazi::: abigail brown

So yesterday was my birthday!! We did market ministry in the morning which was so much fun. I had met a lady at the market the day before and bought fabric from her, so I visited her again in the morning. She was so funny and sweet and as we were talking she said “oh we should get a picture!” I didn’t have my camera with me so she used her phone, which was such a sweet gesture honestly. I’m so excited to see her again! We shopped after ministry and on the bus ride home we pretty much jammed out the whole time which was so much fun. During dinner Logan apologized for...
