We Are Sons & Daughter’s

We Are Sons & Daughters   So I’m embarking on this journey that is my third week here in Guatemala. God has taught me so much. He has given me friendships that I am sure will last the rest of my life. He has granted me peace. He’s revealed an even deeper heart for teaching within me. God has shown me how the Holy Spirit moves and how limitless the Spirit really is.    it has been so cool to teach English in schools, discover cute Guatemalan coffee shops, conquer my fears, pray over villages, and practice my Spanish (shoutout to Ms. Powell)!! it’s been...

Ask The Lord

ASK THE LORD July 22, 2016 Hey y’all! It’s now exactly a week until I get to see my parents again, and I’ll have to say goodbye to the wonderful people who have become my family for the past month.  Today, I wanted to tell you about a major part of our ministry for the past week! We’ve been doing mostly street ministry this whole week, which consists of talking to strangers and praying for them, along with these things called ATL’s, which stands for Ask The Lord.  To explain how it works, I’ll tell you one of the stories from this past...

Fear

Fear. How crippling that four letter word can be. We as humans fear so much. We fear the judgment of others and what they might think. We fear storms, bugs, lightning, and rollercoasters. Some fear the dark or the thought of being lonely someday. Many fear the reality of death, loss, and pain. Our whole lives we will go fearing something. As a child you feared the “monsters” that hid in the closet and under the bed. But then you grow up and look back on those monsters with a smile, because you now know how silly that fear you had was, thinking “I would trade getting older...
