Experiencing the Kingdom

God has been doing great works through all of us young missionaries in Puerto Rico. On Monday we started ministry. My group started off the day by doing door to door visits in the neighborhood around us in the town of Isabella. We were able to make many new friends as well as pray with many different individuals and families. The one person who I remember the most was Tina. Tina is a native of Puerto Rico but lived in New York for many years. She moved back to Puerto Rico about a year ago, and told us how she has felt God calling her to go back to church, but...

The Last Few Miles

Sanibonani (hello in Siswati)!    This week has been full of God’s blessings.  He has been meeting all of us here in new ways and creating in our hearts a greater faith and love of Himself.  Every night this past week,  the team has been attending revival prayer meetings taking place at our host church.  These meetings have been a refreshing time with much singing, teaching, and fellowship in the Spirit.  Quite a few of the students have offered to share some testimonies, or short God stories from their lives at these meetings.  It is such a...

It’s been a ton of fun, and lots and lots of hard work. The girls are troopers, though, and have maintained positive attitudes. We had a very rowdy crew today–there are roughly three hundred participating this year–so we’re pretty exhausted. Tomorrow is the final day. Pray for strength, perseverance, and continued good attitudes to get through it. Traci (team leader)

Listening to God

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked alter me, I was in prison and you came to visit me… ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me'”-Matthew 25:35-36, 40 This place is so incredibly beautiful, God’s glory is evident everywhere you turn. As we walk through the streets admiring the abundant beauty, we’re sadly reminded of a...
