Lessons Learned So Far

A little reflection on lessons learned during this trip…  Servanthood is one of the greatest things I have learned on this trip. The people on my team love to serve each other. It is motivation for me to continue to serve others around me when I get home.          -Charis Riner I have learned to be much more patient. God has really helped me out in this area and I hope to go back home different than how I came.        -Sydney Ledford God has taught me so much while I’ve been...

More Stories from Guatemala

Hey guys! Allie and Sophia here. We had quite an eventful and blessed day. As Satan put obstacles in the way of our ministry, the team worked together to overcome him and restore our joy. Wie went to the rooftop of our hotel, surrounded by the beauty of Guatemala’s volcanoes, mountains, and of course, the lake. Our team used worship to beat Satan and his evil tactics.                                    Afterwards, we all felt much better, and our team piled into the beds of...

The girls have been cutting grass and weeds with machetes and the guys have been digging wells down at the bottom of the hill. I am going to try and put a picture of them up under ¨photos¨ on the left hand side of our page. I am going to pre-apologize if it doesn´t work (this...

Time flies when you’re serving the Lord.                                   After yesterdays fun breakfast, we had an ATL (Ask The Lord) session. After hearing about some of Connie, Jess and Kristen’s miraculous ATL experiences, it’s safe to say that we were all extremely eager to Ask The Lord what was in store for us on this trip. We went our...

Experiencing the Kingdom

God has been doing great works through all of us young missionaries in Puerto Rico. On Monday we started ministry. My group started off the day by doing door to door visits in the neighborhood around us in the town of Isabella. We were able to make many new friends as well as pray with many different individuals and families. The one person who I remember the most was Tina. Tina is a native of Puerto Rico but lived in New York for many years. She moved back to Puerto Rico about a year ago, and told us how she has felt God calling her to go back to church, but...
