Bendiciones

Howdy again! Dear parents and friends, thank you for trusting these amazing kids to Kayla and me. We have all grown so close through the love of God in prayer and ministry, cooking and cleaning, incredible conversations, and trust. God at work: We did an hour of prayer a few nights ago for the Church of Acts kids, though it only felt like 15 minutes. The Spirit was moving as I heard and felt our kids praying. I could really feel the presence of God in the room and it pumped me up! We also did a small service at our place of residence and had 20-25 of the C.o.A. kids over (cooking for 35...

Lucy

This week we are spending our mornings going door to door in the community just talking to the people and talking to them about Jesus. On our first morning of this ministries one of the teams met a woman who a year ago became paralyzed on her left side from what we assume was a stroke. She is not an old woman, she is probably in her 40’s. The team that met her stayed and prayed with her that first day for only 30 min, but it had a profound impact upon them. Now they have committed to visiting her daily where they pray and worship with her, so that she knows that the Lord has not...

Beauty Through Pain

The other day my team and I piled up in the back of a truck and rode to the city dump. After about 10 minutes riding we turned off the main road onto a dirt road. Soon after we turned on the dirt road I could begin to see trash. After about 5 minutes on the dirt road we came to a stop, after we all piled out we could see mountains of trash, through out the mountains you could see people digging through all the trash trying to find anything to eat or to sell. The site was heart breaking. Flies numbered to the hundreds, and dogs went around trying to find anything they could. There was kids...

Lester Jose

On Monday of this week we moved from the lakefront one room brick house in El Guayabo, Nicaragua to the luxury of El Puente in Granada, Nicaragua. This was probably the hardest challenge I have faced so far. In El Guayabo life was different, instead of wasting time on material things the people spent their time in fellowship with each other, because they didnt have those other things. Lester was the first kid that ever spoke to us there, we pulled up and opened the door of the car and there was his smiling face. Immediately I fell in love with him. He is an 8 year old boy with...

Eastmore

Last night we were again invited to another school, this time it was at an all girls high school.  We did what has been our normal program, drama, preaching, testamonies, songs. This time however none of walked out of those doors wondering “did anyone hear us? Did God use us in any way?, etc”. We know that God was moving in that room because after the program was over the girls rushed the team, begging to hear more testamonies from those on the team who hadn’t spoken, they were exclaiming how wonderful and meaningful they thought the drama was to them. This alone...

New…

When we left Georgia just over a week ago we left with eight teenagers who wanted to change the world which was great but now a week later we have something better. We have a group of eight men and women who constantly look for the Lords direction in everything they do each day. They desire to just go deeper with Him. There has been a radical change in our team in only a week and it has blown us leaders away. Daily we meet and remark about how we have been so blessed to witness the change in each one of the team members.  Thank you parents for trusting us with your precious ones so we...
