Experiencing God in Puerto Rico

Stories of how we’ve seen God work during this trip… I’ve seen God work in other people this week by allowing us to plant a seed from Him in them. My missionary team and I have done so by showing His love to people. Some were Christians and some weren’t, but almost all were filled with joy to have us sent to speak to them. We worked to do this through Ask the Lord (ATL), house visits, Living Water, and visiting others in the orphanage and retirement home. It could be discouraging at times when people didn’t understand or want to talk to...

Experiencing the Kingdom

God has been doing great works through all of us young missionaries in Puerto Rico. On Monday we started ministry. My group started off the day by doing door to door visits in the neighborhood around us in the town of Isabella. We were able to make many new friends as well as pray with many different individuals and families. The one person who I remember the most was Tina. Tina is a native of Puerto Rico but lived in New York for many years. She moved back to Puerto Rico about a year ago, and told us how she has felt God calling her to go back to church, but every...

We LOVE Puerto Rico!

04 July2009 A little report from under the mango tree… It’s our first day here in Isabella, Puerto Rico and it’s a balmy breezy day. Today is our day to prepare for the ministry we’ll be engaged in this week. Our goal is to walk away with tools in our tool belt, to have available whenever God might open an opportunity for us to share His love. We’ll jump into our normal ministry schedule first thing in the morning. After a long travel day, it’s been great to have today to get organized and prepared for the week. Today’s been...
