From Broken Sinner to Devoted Daughter

The last night of training camp Savannah talked and prayed for us all individually.  When Savannah had her talk with me, she told me I needed to focus on my identity. Before this trip I would have said that I am chosen, predestined, adopted, blessed, redeemed, and forgiven (all of which come from Ephesians 1:3-10). Now my answer is much different, because I decided to listen.   Thursday night, two days ago, we all went into the sanctuary for a team meeting. Andrew told us to take some time asking God to give us words of who we are in Christ. So the entire team found various places...

Ireland in Pictures

Our experience in Ireland has been amazing so far.  Here are some pictures of journey.   At training camp we took time to pray over Ireland. These are the words we declared over our trip.   Our amazing family flag. The Family O’Chroi means heartfelt and Psalms 139:23-24 is the verse we want to live by for our trip. We have been blessed with amazing weather. It was warm enough to take a fun day to the beach.     Our contacts took us on a bus tour up the coast of Ireland to go sightseeing. This is the beautiful Muckross House. FAMILY FUN!!! One of our Junior...

The Secret…

Hello Everyone, Saturday started with some sad goodbyes as we left Dunmanway. It was hard saying goodbye to Ms. Daphne, Liz, Norma, and Raymond. Then we all rushed to the bus and began the first leg of our trip to Kilkenny… But before I go on about that, probably one of the coolest non ministry related activities in Dunmanway was the “Secret of West Cork” aka “The Secret Gardens.” It was basically a nice way of saying Irish boot camp. For me this was grand, but for the girls, not so much. We had to follow maps, race go carts, crawl in the mud, run through mud pits,...

What God is Doing in Kilkenny

Saturday night we arrived (very much exhausted) in Kilkenny. Yay! Dunmanway was a quaint town, but Kilkenny is a busy city. Us girls are on the 3rd floor of the Community Church. Out the front window you can see a castle, a cathedral and the busy streets below. Out the back, abandoned buildings and the river. Sunday we attended church downstairs. Everyone was so welcoming and made it feel like home. After lunch we began planning for the kids club that will take place every morning for the next week and a half. Tensions arose and we had to take time to pray alone so we could put our selfish things...

The Ireland Team Has Arrived

Sorry for the Delay.  (Posted by Adam Veltman) The team and I have safely arrived in Ireland!  After three days at training and about two days of traveling we are settled down. We are staying in a backyard and sleeping in tents. So far we have gone out into the community handing out flyers for a kids club we are leading this week, helped with the last day at a kids club in Drimoleague (which is about 15 minutes away), went swimming in a river with Irish teens, went to a teen cafe, and finally had a day at the beach today. I speak for the rest of the team when I say that even though...

Random Acts of Kindness

Hello all!    Well, our time is almost coming to an end here in Buncrana and we are all pretty sad!  We have loved everything about our time here and have loved being able to partner with God and see him work!  Yesterday and today we have been baking over 300 cookies and passing them out all around the town.  Ruth and Andrew are trying to start “Random Acts of Kindness”  They want to encourage people to partake in kind acts whether it is holding the door open, buying someone coffee, writing a note, handing out cookies etc…  People were so...
