Ethiopia Updates From the Field

When we got to Ethiopia our ministry paired us with kids similar in age to us. I got paired with a thirteen year old named Abigail and she has changed my life in the three short days I have known her. She has not only taught me about Ethiopian culture, but also has been able to show me things about Jesus that I was blind to before. Abigail and I were looking in my bible and she pointed to this chapter in Matthew and...

Guat 4 – First Glance

To give you a glimpse at what were experiencing, close your eyes and imagine this juxtaposition. Poured concrete sidewalks, a brick house with carpet and original wood flooring, families taking a drive to the grocery store, little boys and girls running around during recess and playing together. One thing that I was not expecting for ministry on this trip was to mainly build relationships with people… at least with the Abisha (Ethiopian people). I...

The purpose of these visits is to provide the means for clean water to families in the areas surrounding Paramos. Clean water is very hard to come by, and most of the families in the areas we were visiting do not have access to bacteria-free water. We brought along simple, easy-to-use water filters; these filters cost very little and can be easily set up using a 5-gallon bucket. The staff at the AIM...
