Training camp has been so amazing for me! I have had so much fun taking bucket showers and laughing with my team. From laughing at Mackenzie because she screams so loud at bugs to getting all six of us up a twelve foot wall, training camp has truly been an amazing and unique experience. God is really testing me on this trip because I have never done anything like this before. I was really pushed to my limits, such as my trust with others. I am so happy that I have been able to have this experience. During one of our sessions we were told to pray for a stranger and I ended up praying for the Costa Rica leader and it was amazing. Before we prayed for the other person we were supposed to ask God to give us the word to pray for the other person. I asked, and I constantly kept thinking of the word “family”. It kind of freaked me out because I had never really asked God to give me the thing I was supposed to pray for someone about. After I prayed for her, she told me that she was so thankful for my prayers about family because that is exactly what she needed. I was so amazed and just kept telling God thank you over and over again for showing himself to me. God also gave me the courage to climb the wall and give my full trust in my team to help me up. Thank you to Adventures in missions for this eye opening experience at training camp. Thank you God for showing yourself to me and giving me the courage to do things I would not think I would ever do. God works in mysterious ways and I will forever be thankful for that.
