From Your Students!

Internet has been rough these past few days, but it’s back up today! We asked half of the team to share a few of their own thoughts and wanted to share them with you. You’ll be hearing from the other half very soon!   The WHOLE group at one of the carepoints. What has God been revealing to you in Swaziland? Throughout the short time that we have been in Swaziland, God has revealed to me what my heart os capable of doing. When we get to spend time with the kids, God has shown me to love like I never have before. He has also been revealing to me that He is a God that is...

Bible Studies. Weddings. Healings. Funerals.

It is such a blessing being a part of Team Nicaragua Four Week.  God is doing some radical things with and within this team.  I always laugh my pants off at what God does and almost never understand why He does things the way He does.   But it is all for His glory and Kingdom and as a team we are grateful.  Grateful for the pasts and stories we’ve come from that mold us into who we are today.  Grateful for the present of knowing that we are children of God and have been given the authority to raise the dead to life. TO LIFE! July 6th, 2012. –  It...

Nakuru… 2 Weeks to Go

Hey Guys… Just wanted to check in and report that we have made it to Nakuru safely. We are about to get settled into our new “home” and plan with out pastor what ministry will look like. We are sorry we haven’t been able to connect earlier. I asked the kids what their favorite thing about Eburru ministy was, and here are there responces Emma: I LOVED BEING ABLE TO SPEND TIME WITH...

Halfway Through (4 Week Trip)

It’s been two weeks here in San Pedro, and we are beginning to feel like a part of Pastor Antonio’s family. We have celebrated holidays (both Guatemalan and American), prayed with members of the congregation in San Pablo, and helped spiff up a mountain church across the lake in San Marcos.  Cleaining the church in San Pablo. The kids love us! The mountain church in San Marcos. A little entertainment from Chelsea while we worked.     Painting! Celebrating Independence  Day. Pastor Antonio provided a little entertainment as well. And we are keeping dry...

Two Weeks Down!

Hello! Got some good news for all you awesome families and supporters of Team Kenya! Just spoke with the team leaders (Jessica, Jeremy and Ashley) after a great day of ministry at the school!  After almost two weeks of great ministry and making incredible relationships with the locals they have been serving and working along side, the team will be heading to Nakuru, Kenya, their final location for the last two weeks of the trip. The team is super excited about reaching out to even more people, and continuing to be His hands and feet in Kenya. The plus to this new location; the...

Sharing God’s Love in Swaziland

Our team flag.  Our handprints on the Swazi mountains. Monday through Friday we get to spend most of our day at the carepoints [where the kids are taught, fed and looked after]. We help out with the preschool classes, cook with the grandmas, hold beautiful children, help with the Bible club, and sweat through an array of crazy running games. It’s a pretty fantastic way to spend the day. One of my favorite moments each day is our arrival. We ride in an old, rickety African van and the roar of our engine pronounces our coming long before we actually arrive. However, the moment...
