Great news! The Dominican Republic team has landed and is headed to their host location.  The leaders say the team is doing well and is excited to finally be there!  

We were presented with an opportunity to participate in a reforestation project. When I first heard about this, I did not think I would get anything out of it and was debating whether to go. Two days ago I got back from a month long trip to Guatemala and honestly I am still processing everything and getting used to being back in the States. Each time my phone chimes, I am reminded of the group of people I left behind when I got on the airplane to come home. My heart aches for the kids I had to say goodbye to after a month of being in their lives. I think back to the people who influenced me at the base and the impact they will never know they made on me.  I tend to be a very closed off person..in my life I’ve seen people come and go, be there then not, and leave...

God’s love is a firm foundation. It’s something you can trust and know that will not crumble. It won’t leave when you you’re distant, it won’t judge, it won’t shake. It’s constant for your entire life. It’s vast enough to get lost in. Sometimes God proves His love in big, life changing ways. Our team traveled from Puerto Viejo this morning and arrived safely in San Jose about an hour ago. We loved our time in Puerto Viejo and are very sad to be ending our time here, but are looking forward to being home. We are currently staying at an adorable hostel that is run by a church and will be leaving to the airport at around 4am tomorrow morning. We will let you know when we arrive safely in Atlanta!! 

Talked with the leaders this morning.  The team is doing well and they are ready to finish the final few days in Swazi strong.   The wifi has been less than reliable so the will post more blogs once they return.
