Stepping Out…

I’ve now officially been in Romania for one week.  It has been an amazing and life changing week.  I’ve learned so much since I’ve been here.  It’s definitely been hard and it has brought me out of my comfort zone.  At first I didn’t want to come out of my comfort zone and “go in deep” but I’ve realized that the times when I am insecure and vulnerable are when I really experience God and change in my life.  Those uncomfortable situations I’ve been thrown into are the times when I feel closest to God.  I pray...

Loving Like a Gypsy

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 We have been in Romania for a week now and I have fallen in love with this place once again. A little over a year ago I spent a month here in this same village. I knew last time that Romania held a special part of my heart and I feel blessed to be...

The Fruits of the Spirit

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23 One thing that God really taught me at training camp was that the Holy Spirit is real and present in my life. Growing up in the church, I’ve always known of and “believed in” the Holy Spirit but I never really put much stock in it – it was just that other one in the Trinity. I didn’t hear God speaking to me through the Holy Spirit and I didn’t see its work in my life. In the time we spent as a group, Jessie, Bryan,...

And then our team, consisting of Lindsay, Kelly, Ben, Ryan and I payed the Peruvians and claimed victory over them. I am only saying this because if we were ever to play futbol they...

Prayer Walk

Today Tess, Megan, Tiana, Kay, Carli, Herbie, Maddie, and Amanda went on a prayer walk. Usually we sing or shout scripture on our prayer walks, but today Carli felt that we should stop in front of houses and pray. We stopped at this first house and started praying whatever God put on our hearts. When we finished this man was outside this house. It just so happens the man who lived at this house was praying last night from 1:30 to 2:45 in the morning for God to send some angles to pray for him. I don’t know if we were the angles God sent, but I do believe God sent us to specifically...

Ocho Rios

Hello!  It’s hard to believe our trip is nearing its end. While we’re all excited to come back home, I think we’re all in denial about the trip being over as well.  We’ve had so much fun together! After seeking the Lord’s direction, we arrived a day early at our originally planned debrief site to do some ministry at Dunns River Falls in Ocho Rios.  What a stunning sight!  We were able to pray with and for some employees and guests and to speak Life over the people there, praying God’s love over all we saw.   We’ll...
