Is Camp Smile a Real Smile?

Well, I’ve had a great time at training camp.  It’s been so much fun to get to know the team and laugh with them a lot.  It’s also been incredibly awesome to watch God begin to move in all of our lives, for the team to open up with each other and begin to grow closer.  I know that God has definitely shown me a ton of things about my walk with him during the time, and I know that He’s doing the same in each person’s heart on the team. Travel the next few days is going to be long.  We’ve been at the Atlanta airport for 11 hours now and...

KENYA Here We Come!

Your children have survived training camp! They have experienced their first taste of living without electricity, running water, cell phones and internet. Kyle and I are thrilled with how they are pressing into the Lord and taking time to learn more about thier fellow team mates. We have become much more than a team, we are a family. The past week your kids have been pushed out of their comfort  zones and into a place of more dependence on the Lord. They don’t have you or their everyday friends to rely on and they have thrived. In reality, they don’t know us well enough to...

Ministry

Here is a taste of some of the ministry that we have been doing in Uganda: School Ministry:  We travel to different schools where we spend the morning just loving on kids!  It is amazing how holding the hand of a small child can bring such smiles to their faces.  We often start the time splitting into age groups to play games.  Everything from relay races to silly songs!  The kids love it!  Then after some chill time, just getting to know the kids, we come together for a bible story.  What a great way to show the love of God to so many children each day....

No Denyin’ We Touched De Nile

On Saturday the 2nd, our entire family got to go on a bit of an adventure.  We loaded up one car and a Matatu (local van transportation) and headed to Jinja to see the source of the Nile, some local falls, and Lake Victoria.  It was definitely an African experience that we won’t soon forget. As we pulled into the park, you could feel the lighter temperature rising from the river.  It was really beautiful.  Lush trees lined the river banks, and the current of the river ran quickly south to north.  One of the Niles interesting qualities. After dipping our hands...

The Lord is Moving!

This week has been an amazing week we have seen God move in so many ways out in the community and within our team. First an update on Lucy…. well she has started to regain feeling in the lower part of her leg and in her foot. She also has had a complete change just emotionally, she used to barely register emotion and now she is constantly laughing. She also now believes the Lord will heal her completely. Most of the team has now preached or at the very least shared there testamony, although they have all experienced nerves they have all done a great job. The Lord has really used them...

Guatemala, Here We Come!

Team Guatemala! As training camp comes to an end, we are excited and ready for what God has in store for us in Guatemala. God has already done some amazing work in these students lives. A question the students were asked at training camp was, “What does God say about you?” Please take a minute and read through their responses and celebrate with us the work God is already doing and the revelations He is bringing in their lives: Jasmine-this week having lost, found & returned my luggage after a few days, God has shown me that I’m a lot stronger (with His help of course)...
