It’s also land of deep pain.
Several decades since apartheid formally ended, South Africa still needs healing and reconciliation.
Although it is one of the wealthiest countries on the continent, much of the population living outside the cities is poor. Like the rest of sub-Saharan Africa, this country struggles with a high rate of AIDS/HIV.
Host to the 2010 World Cup and breathtaking natural attractions, it’s also a place full of Kingdom potential.
Ministry:
You will partner with a local ministry in Johannesburg, South Africa’s capital. Ministry opportunities will include:
- Community Development: Everything from house-to-house evangelism to helping local communities work towards sustainability, you will have the opportunity to impact a neighborhood while making relationships.
- Kids Ministry: You’ll partner with a ministry working with Zulu kids doing a children’s program, sharing the love of Christ through kids’ favorite language: fun.
- Clinic Ministry: Our ministry partner has Babysafe stations where parents can safely leave children if they are unable to care for them. Through this ministry you could teach awareness or visit young mothers, or even encourage other patients in a local clinic.
