WELCOME TO THE DR!

It has been a little over a week now since I said my goodbyes in Philadelphia, headed to Georgia, and then left the States for the Dominican Republic. The week brought on new memories and new experiences that I will hold onto forever. A few months back I had not even heard of Adventures In Missions. Going to the Dominican Republic was not even a thought to cross my mind until a dear friend asked me if I would be up to going to the Dominican with her. It took each and every one of our breaths away. On the first full day here in San Pedro we all got together and started planning our VBS program for all the different churches we would go to in the next couple of weeks. We also got to plan a radio show because yes, our team was on the radio in...

Guatemala 4 week “All Kinds of Busy”

The Guatemala 4 week team has been all kinds of busy! We spend a couple of days teaching English and biblical principles in schools, we visited an orphanage and played with the children there. It was hard for everyone to say goodbye to them but we managed    We also had the opportunity to go on a few home visits in the town of Santa Maria. We learned a lot about Guatemalan culture during that experience, and we were able to give food to and pray for the families.   Today some of our team went to hike Pacaya, a volcano near Antigua. The rest of us have been exploring markets...
