First Impressions

It’s been a whole week since this journey began and I can honestly say that time has flown. Never before have I felt God’s presence so strongly for so long, yet I know He’s not going anywhere – I’ve never felt like I was supposed to be somewhere like how I feel like I’m supposed to be here. These girls have become like family so quickly. Laughter echoes through our house and I know I can talk to every girl about anything and they will listen. I can’t help but thank God that he put them in my life....

Kathmandu Prayer Walk

So yesterday was pretty wild. Sameer (our ministry partner’s son) came and got us around like 5 AM. From our house, we went to the main road of Kathmandu and got on a bus to the outskirts of town. Once we were there we walked for a good distance down a hill and into a valley that was absolutely gorgeous. You could see rice patties and a small stream that flowed through them. There were also two large brick factories that were absolutely overflowing with bricks. Once we reached the bottom of the valley we crossed a bridge that went across the stream that I mentioned before. We then...

Life in Peru!

We’ve spoken with one of the team leaders today in Peru! They had a full day of ministry in a town called Florida! There were house visits, and time playing with the children, praying over people…and seeing those prayers answered!  They take a boat to ministry each day, the girls are loving that! After lunch, they get a siesta. (they love that too!) Sorry, no pictures – there is very limited wifi.

VBS Guatemala 2 week

Yesterday we went to Escuela Oficial Rural Mixta Bella Vista. We had to hike off-road through a forest. We arrived at the school and started VBS with songs in English and Spanish. After, we did a skit, colored, and played games. While we were there, I met an 8 year old girl and we played with a beach ball for most of the time. Seeing how the language barrier between her and me didn’t effect our friendship we made was awesome. It’s amazing to see how much the kids appreciated us spending some time with them.

Seeing Christ Everywhere

As we come to a close in our time in Ecuador, I am in awe of the ways I have seen Christ in many of the people here. The Ecuadorians we met are warm and greet one another with a handshake and a kiss on the cheek. They are inclusive and truly treat each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. Before coming to Ecuador, someone sent me a quote saying, Look for Christ and you will find Him. And with Him, everything else. – CS Lewis   I have seen Christ in their actions. One day last week, our team had the opportunity to go to a three-hour prayer meeting where the church members...
