Week Two Update from the Lima, Peru Team!

Hola Amigos y Familia,   All is well as we are in the midst of our last week in ministry in Tumpa! Since we were last able to write, our team has had the chance to continue visiting those we have built relationships with in Tumpa. The people are very open to the word of God, and ask many good questions as we share our hearts for the Lord with them. As Peru is a traditionally Catholic country, much confusion abounds about the saints and traditional worship of idols in the church. In our conversations with the people of the town we have seen the Lord open eyes and hearts as we share...

One Week and Counting

Well, we’re almost through our first week of ministry.  After the weekend we’ve settled into a rhythm of ministry at Cebu City Alliance Church (C.C.A.C.).  In the afternoons (and on a few mornings) it serves as an afterschool program for well over 100 children from the community called Loving My Neighbor.  Most of the kids are sponsored through Compassion International and come to get a little love, hear a little gospel, and eat a little rice and meat.  This week we’ve been giving a lot of love, trying to present the gospel through songs and stories,...

The Last Days of Ministry

So the last few days have been good. The VBS that I asked you to pray fpr in the last update went very well. We presented the gospel and 30 children accepted Christ. Also Last night we had a party for the Children that we ministred to in front of the AIM house we had about 80 kids show up, and a lot of them had never been there before, but our girls quickly pulled together and realized that there were new kids. So Sara preached a salvation message and 20 kids accepted Christ. We have truly had a great time of ministry in the DR. Today we are going to a local River to swim all day, and out...

Update from the Jungle

I talked to Jason today and he said the team is in good spirits. The guys were feeling very esteemed in their manhood because the locals brought an alligator they had captured up for them to help kill and clean. It was safe as Jason & Sean were the two that really got their hands dirty. But to say the least it was an experience to be remembered. The team had a baptism service where many of them were baptized in the Amazon! What a place to confirm your commitment to the Lord! I am sure they will have more to say about that when they can tell you themselves. They had a great service on...

Ministry Stories from Team Swazi

“Give me all of you…”Robert De Graff       Greetings from Swaziland! Things have been quite intense throughout this trip. A daily surrender of our hearts, minds, and even our bodies is required for this trip to be successful. Today we especially had to give God our all, it was the first day where we did ministry without our leaders completely guiding the groups. We started with asking the Lord what he desired for us to do as we hiked up the mountain. So we started off not knowing what to expect, to be honest I was a bit...
