We’re here!! The USA Roadtrippers have arrived in Chicago!
Our two fifteen-passenger vans rolled out of Gainesville at 9am, and began a drive that crossed five state lines and was filled with winding mountain roads, a surprise drive through the corner of South Carolina, bluffs, cornfields, and construction. We drove through the Chattahoochee National Forest, crossed the Ohio River, and wondered how Indiana could be so big. We sampled the local cuisine from an exotic place known as Chick-fil-A. Our vans were filled with prayer for all the other Ambassador teams, worship, laughter, music, podcasts, enjoying God’s beautiful creation in the trees, rivers, and skies of America, picture taking, grammar lessons, sharing stories, and an incredibly impressive (or maybe terrifying?) two-woman Broadway medley, courtesy of Robin and Danna.
We arrived in Chicago right around midnight, and are so thankful to New Community Church to opening their doors and providing us a place to rest our weary heads.
Tomorrow, our Chicago adventure begins!! We are all looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for us in this beautiful city!
